Number of words
In the dialog box Group properties, click on the tab Calculate.
Select Number of words. Click on the tabt Content. Untick Table and Graph, and keep just Values . Click then on the tab Values then tick the values you wish to know concerning the words of your open question, for example, the average, the median, the standard-deviation,... Click OK to validate and generate the analysis.
Classifying the words
In the dialog box Group properties, click on the tab Calculate.
Select Group words into classes. Click on the button Dictionnaries, and tick the cell Ignore tool-words. These options will allow you to make the analysis more relevant by avoiding the appearance of the tool-words like « the », « I », « and »,...in the table of words. Click Close to go back to the properties of the object.
Click on the tab Table. Tick the option Truncate after, then write the number of lines, for example 20. This allows you to display the twenty most cited words in your open question. Click OK to validate and generate the table.
Classifying the responses
In the dialog box Group properties, click on the tab Calculate.
Select Group/sort modalities. Click OK to validate and generate the table. This table presents the set of responses to your open question. If two responses are identic, they are regrouped and the number of summons moves to 2, etc.
