Insert a cross table (2 variables)

The cross (sortings) allow to study the way data are divided. This type of analysis consists in treating simultaneously two variables, which means analyzing the responses to one question in function of the responses to another question. To get a reliable conclusion  to these cross (sortings), we should make statistic tests which allow to identify the existence or non-existence of relations and their degree of significance, on scientific bases.

In the banner, tab Insertion, click Cross / multiple table.

The assistant Insert cross table is opened. Select the variable to use in columns, then the variable(s) to use in lines. Click OK to validate and generate the cross table.

When the cross table is generated, it is possible to display the statistic tests. For this, select the cross table, click on the tab Format then on the button Properties, in the group Object. The properties of the object are opened. Click on the tab Tests. Tick the cell corresponding to the actions of the test (Colorize significant cells , Display significance test , Commentary) you wish to apply to your cross table. Note that the button  allows to rapidly get access to the function Thresholds of tests in order to modify them.
