Simplify
It is possible to simplify the number of observations treated in an analysis by using the function of simplification. The latter allows to simplify in relation to effectives, to percentages, and/or to the maximum number of lines.
To simplify an analysis :
- Select the analysis on which you want to apply the simplification.
- Open the object properties (in the banner, click on the tab Format, then on the button Properties) then click on the tab Calculate.
- Tick the option Simplify, then click on the button
- Tick the options to use to simplify (effective, percentage, maximum number of lines) then enter the filter values. Note that the Values ignored, may be ignored (Delete the analysis) or regrouped in a modality (here : Others).
Click OK to validate.
Regroup/ Order
It is possible to reorganize a table by regrouping and/or deleting some modalities, and/or by being limited to a number of lines of the table. To perform these actions :
- Select the analysis on which to apply the regrouping / scheduling.
- Open the properties of the object in the banner, click on the tab Format, then on the button Properties then click on the tab Calculate.
- Tick the option Regroup / Sort modalities, then click on the button
- Case of one-way table : Select one or several modalities and tick one of the options to apply : Group as, or Do not group, or Ignore. The tab Order allows to rise / descend a modality and to change therefore the order of presentation of the modalities in the analysis.
- Case of cross / multiple / compound / average table: Write the formulas corresponding to the regroupings and schedulings to apply.
Regroup the modalities
The name of the group of the modalities followed by the sign "equal", then the name of modalities to group, between quotation marks and separated by the sign "equal"
Alcoholic drinks = "Wines" = "Beer" = "Spirits" = "Premixture"Delete the modalities
The name of modalities to delete between quotation marks, separated by a semicolon, all between parentheses
("Eau du robinet" ; "Premixture" ; "Wine")Limit to number of lines
The number of lines in the beginning and this at the end, separated by a dash
1-10
- Click OK to validate.
Sort
The data of a table may be sorted in acsending or descending order in function of modalities or values of observations. To apply a sorting to an analysis :
- Select the analysis to apply the sorting on
- Open the object properties (in the banner, click on the tab Format, then on the button Properties) then click on the tab Table.
- Tick the option Sort in order, then select the wished sorting in the drop-down menu.
- Click OK to validate and apply the sorting
Note that it is possible to sort the questions ordered by Importance. For this, only the values relative to the importance may not be displayed in the table (unmark Effective and Percentage, and keep just Importance ticked)
