Gathering data

This operation allows to gather identic surveys coming from multi-operator entries (several operators of entry mobilized different computers) for example or different surveys having common variables. In this case, only the responses of the common variables belonging to the second survey will be added to the first.

• In the tab Data, click on the button Gather.

You reach the following dialog box :

1 The central screen presents the list of surveys to gather.

2 You can either add a survey, or add an index which contains several surveys (if you wish to gather several surveys at once).

3 By ticking « Add a source variable » this will create a new column in the spreadsheet. The name of this column will be the one informed in the field « Variable » (in our example : surveys collected) and the cells of the column will contain what you will have chosen in the field « Source » (here we wish to display the name of the survey). For example, we will be able to identify whether the observation initially comes from the first or the second survey (here « Drinking 1 » and « Drinking »)
