Structure the diagram (create and link the elements)
The stage “modelling my study” is not compulsory but allows to structure the ideas and the content of the study by setting a very expressive graphic representation (diagram). In order to do that, you will have to create elements (parts, questions), the aim is to achieve a diagram corresponding to the plan of the questionnaire.
Start by defining the general structure of your study by creating the parts that compose it. For this, move the object Section of the explorer on the left to the working area. In order to develop the parts, add the sub-parts (eventually), and the questions by moving them from the explorer to the working area. Nevertheless, try to put them temporarily on the part they belong to in order to create a material link between the sections.
For creating any new element, it is necessary to label it. Click on the text written by default in white and label the element again.
Once the sections and the questions are created, the button + or – (the upper-right part of each element “section”) allows to fold or unfold the section (show or hide the questions which compose it)
You can at anytime instill notes (memory jogger) intended to collect comments that you keep throughout the design.
In order to structure the questionnaire, it is important to know that one section can be linked to another section, it then becomes a sub-section; one question may be linked either to one section or one sub-section.
In order to link two elements, insert a question (or a section) on the part you wish to link ( a green shadow shows that a link may be created). Deposit the element to create a link.
The structure of questionnaire may be controlled via the panel List of variables (on the left of the working area). It is possible to rank the parts and the questions in relation to one another.
You simply slide and deposit an element in relation to others in order to define the logical sequence of your sections and questions.
NB :By default, the sequence of the questionnaire is structured in the add-up order of the different elements, independently of the reorganization which could have been done in the working area.
