Determine the size of a sample

In the framework of a survey, you may need to calculate the size of the necessary sample in function of the accepted error of estimation.

In order to facilitate this stage, we put in your disposition a tool online allowing to calculate the size of the sample:

http://www.sphinxonline.net/sphinx/aide/calculechantillon.htm

Use the sub-samples

You can at anytime decide to use a sub-sample (profile), allowing to filter the observations displayed in the central zone. To create a new sub-sample, click on the button plus of the section Sub-samples of the left lateral explorer.

You reach the following dialog box where you can define the profile you wish to create. In our example, we want to create the profile « 18-24 » which allows to display only the observations of the people aged between 18 et 24 years.
